Sanjiwan Tarabadkar, M.D., Chairman of the Board
Responsible for overall supervision and direction of the company. Dr. Tarabadkar received his undergraduate diploma from University of Cambridge in London and his B.M.B.S. from Grant Medical College, University of Bombay. He completed his residency and fellowship in the Anesthesiology Department of the Yale-New Haven Hospital. He holds multiple certifications from the American Board of Anesthesiology. Currently, He is also a staff anesthesiologist at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and an associate professor of anesthesiology at Mercer University School of Medicine.
Alrick G. Brooks, M.D., MBA, CCO/Board Member
Dr. Brooks received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University, his M.D. from State University of New York at Stony Brook, and his MBA from Mercer University. He held the positions of chief resident and fellow at the Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He has collected over 2 decades of experience in anesthesiology, 15 years of which is at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was also instrumental in the development and establishment of the School of Respiratory Therapy at Macon College.
Jian Jim Hua, M.D., Board Member
Dr. Hua received his M.D. from Shanghai Medical University's School of Medicine and his Ph.D. from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University Medical Center and went on to complete his residency at the Emory University School of Medicine's Anesthesiology Residency Program. He holds multiple certifications by the American board of Anesthesiology and is a staff anesthesiologist/partner for the NEXus Medical Group, LLC.
Alvin D. Sewell, M.D., Board Member
Alvin D. Sewell, M.D., Board Member: Dr. Sewell received his M.D. from Emory School of Medicine. He spent his residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in Texas. He acquired certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology in 1986 and went on to become the Chief of Anesthesiology in the USAF Hospital in Maxwell, Alabama, earning several medals. He is at present an attending anesthesiologist at MCCG and a partner in the NEXus Medical Group.
Nathan Cumbie, MBA, COO/CFO
Responsible for strategic planning, new business developments, operations and fiscal oversight. Mr. Cumbie, with an MBA and a BA in Management and Human Relations, has worked in multiple positions within the healthcare industry since 1989. His extensive experience ranges from clinical engineering management to contract and finance management with operations oversight for multiple facilities. Mr. Cumbie worked with the ServiceMaster/Aramark Corporations for 14 years prior to becoming the Director of Anesthesia Services at a level one trauma center in Middle Georgia. He joined NEXus Medical Holdings, the parent company of ActionMed, in 2006, where he currently administrates the finance and operations for each of the NEXus Medical Holdings Subsidiaries.
Patty Haugabrook, LPN, Director of Nursing Recruitment
Responsible for recruitment and retention of new employees. Ms. Haugabrook has an A.D. in Business Administration from Crandall Jr. College and is currently working as an LPN in the market she services. She is also a member of National Association of Practical Nurse Executives (NAPNES). She joined the ActionMed team in November 2006, bringing over 15 years experience in staffing from her past positions with various state and national staffing agencies. She is committed to maintaining the highest quality of services for nurses and client facilities, a philosophy reflected in ActionMed's mission. Patty acquired a double certification from American Staffing Association - Technical Staffing Coordinator/Certified Staffing Professional in March 2008.
Jennifer Taylor, Staffing Supervisor
Jennifer Taylor joins the ActionMed Personnel team as Staffing Supervisor. She worked as a Division Director with Robert Half International where she was responsible for two divisions and tripled their billing by growing and developing her team. Jennifer has also served as a Research Analyst in Economic Development, and was a Sales/Marketing Representative for local, regional and national accounts with another firm. She brings a strong marketing background and years of experience to the team.
Kathy Sibley, Project Manager
Kathy joined ActionMed with 30 years experience in a Corporate environment with her last eight years there as an Employment Counselor. She has also worked with the CEO of a small hospital. She has a CCMA, and a double certification in HIPAA - Certified HIPAA Administrator and Certified HIPAA Professional. Since joining ActionMed, Kathy has acquired a double certification from American Staffing Association - Technical Staffing Coordinator/Certified Staffing Professional in December 2007. She has trained in Project 2007 and Visio 2007. Current projects include Joint Commission credentialing and earning the CPCS - Certified Professional Credentialing Specialists.
